Anyone had experience with this thermometer?

Like the title says, I'm interested in hearing if anyone's had this thermometer before, and if they found it to be accurate or not.

The packaging's info is all in Japanese so all I can tell you without searching through eBay records (which is probably what I should have done before starting a thread, but I can do so if necessary) is that the brand is called Gex.

I found it on eBay after some searching for a thermometer that didn't have red on it (Weehawk hates red and will flare non-stop at anything bright red he sees, attacking it if he can) because I do prefer having a thermometer in the tank at all times in case of a temp fluctuation I don't catch, which was what I was afraid of in the time I was just checking the temperature several times a day whilst distracting him from the big, bad red thing.



So far it matches my regular thermometer in readings, but I was more wondering about long-term use. I've attached a picture in case anyone's seen 'em around.

That's a new one for sure and since this post has 50+ people that have peeked @ it and no replies looks like you have stumped the forum. Could be a small manufacturing firm producing for a specific purpose?

I buy overseas for a lot of things. Got some great heaters, and great thermometers that way too. Never seen this one though!

If you can, search up a digital aquarium thermometer. I may buy a few ^.^

Gah! I forgot to say that there's a "0" on the other side of each numbered line, it's from 0-50 rather than 0-5. Failing on my part to state that or to take a better photo - from a better angle nothing came out clear for some reason, I think my camera and I were having disagreements...
