Betta ate a hair

I was feeding my betta and a small piece of lint that looks like a hair got in the way and before i could grab it, my betta ate it! There was a small piece of it sticking out of his mouth and he was trying to spit it out but couldn't. I tried to grab it, but he wouldn't hold still. I think he managed to swallow more of it because now the bit sticking out is even shorter to a point where even if I used tweezers I don't think I could grab it! Is there anything I can do at this point/will this cause any major problems?

The piece he swallowed is thinner than human hair and was maybe a bit shorter than one centimeter long...

Ha bettas are dumb! I would leave him be, he should deal with it no prob.

UPDATE:

I don't see it anymore. I can't tell if he spit it out or swallowed it all, but I have to assume he swallowed it... Should I try to fast him for a day or two to get it out of his system?

I hope so because I'm pretty sure he's completely swallowed it!
