Be patient and reel slowly, very slowly. Or just use a bobber and let it just sit there and wait a while.

I fish for a living. What you need to do is get the bait to the bottom with sinkers, since catfish are bottom feeders. You should also invest in a rod holder - the spike kind, so you can place the rod in the holder when not holding it yourself. Cast out, let it sit on the bottom and keep the line tight so you can feel when the fish eats it. Catfish fishing is good at night, so you can get yourself a little glow in the dark bell to put on the end of the rod.

Fishing requires a lot of patience, but patience alone does not catch fish. Proper bait presentation and selecting the right place to fish are what produces fish. And a healthy dose of luck

If you want specifics for your area then it's best to talk to people who fish where you want to fish. Don't be afraid to ask people for help while you're out there. I met one of my best friends that way. Lots of us are happy to help people who are new to the sport. Don't be afraid to ask to go fishing with them sometime either

The problem is that my dad wont let me buy new gear like new fishing line, hooks, and pliers. And i fish in a certain area for 15-30 minutes. I do all of that. Again, are the good fishing dates reliable or just plain garbage.

In my experience "good spots" are only good when they are producing fish. They suck when they are not. Weather conditions play a huge role in dictating whether a spot will be productive or not. However, there are some spots that consistently produce fish, usually due to some sort of structure. I don't know enough about catfish fishing to tell you what to look for, but when you go fishing pay attention to where people are fishing. If people are always fishing a particular spot, there's a good reason why. Well, 2 reasons why. Either it's a productive spot or it's really convenient, and convenient spots aren't generally productive. Just don't go crowding people - give them space since they were there first.

As for equipment - if you can't buy new stuff, then see if you can buy old stuff. Flea markets and yard sales are great places to pick up cheap fishing equipment.

Oh, can i raise euro nightcrawlers in a margine tub? How many can i put in there? If you get that, so how many will the eartheorms breed in a week? Can i put them in a 16 oz deli cup in my carry on luggage or personal item?
