Greenish water tint?

So I JUST set up my 3.5g yesterday with my adjustable heater, thermometer, sponge filter, cave, silk plant, and some live frogbit and fairy moss floating on the surface. I also introduced my new betta (impulse buy at petsmart )! I also use caribsea black sand.

The water hasn't been crystal clear like my tank used to be back before I used live plants and when I used normal aq gravel. I have seen planted aquariums that seem perfectly fine and clear.

But the water doesn't seem dusty like the substrate needs to settle. It just has a flat, very subtle greenish tint. Is it from the plants? How do I fix this?

No - only the Caribsea sand. It is new though, this is my first time using it.

What color is it? I do find new substrate can dye the water... Though, new plants do make it look like its tinged sometimes. Especially if they have used something to enhance the plants.. Which turns the water green or blue usually.

It is black sand, I would post a picture the green tint is so subtle it doesn't really register in the picture! Will the tint go away? Is there something I can do?

If its pretty subtle, I'm guessing it could have been the "fertilizer" stuff some places add to plants. I'd do a water change, and it should go away. Otherwise my second guess is algae... It does bloom like that but tends to be more cloudy.

I was just going to say fertilizer, but Sena beat me to it! I would do a 50% water change then let it sort itself out.
