My New Betta!

I haven't named him yet. I thought I would wait a few days to see how he behaves.

Anyway, how does he look to you guys? Healthy? I know he might be a little rough around the edges from the pet store.

Note: His eye looks odd in the picture, but I think it was from the flash of my camera.

Wow. He's got a black body?? Nice. He looks to be pretty healthy, his belly is a bit bloated. This is common in newly puchased pet store bettas. Don't feed him tomorrow and see if his belly goes down a bit.

I think it's a very dark blue actually. He's a bit skittish, so I haven't been able to get a good pic yet. He went straight over to his silk plant jungle and doesn't really venture out into the open half of his tank yet.
I haven't chosen a name yet. I'm going to sleep on it, and see if a name pops up in the morning.

And once I get a better picture, I'll see if I can figure out what pattern he is. (If any.)

Wow very pretty. Nice find! Maybe he is just constipated... most stores feed them flakes or bloodworms :/

I'm still unsure of the name. It's just that his colour is so odd, nothing really comes to mind!

It's like his body is black, but the closer you get to the tail, the more blue he has!

I took some more pictures. Any idea on colour/pattern?

He is so pretty. These pictures show him so much better :) ive seen some beyta with black and dark blue faces that fade towards the tail.
