Betta First Aid Kit

Hello again everyone!
Last year around this time I lost a betta to dropsy and spent this year getting everything I would need to be more prepared for my next little guy. Now, after a long year without a betta and after finally getting the nitrogen cycle to work Im ready to buy another one :) There's just one last thing I need and that's a first aid kit. I want to be prepared for anything that might happen and wanted your suggestions.
So far I have:
A carton of Epsom Salt
Jungle "Parasite Clear"
API "Triple Sulfa"
and Kanaplex
I plan on getting Tetracycline as well

On a side note, I managed to get some ramshorn snails on a plant I bought and was wondering if the epsom salt would kill them. Not that I want them gone, but if I ever needed to add some salt it'd be good to know.

Salt can cause a slow death for snails, so a dip would be a better option. Glad you decided to dive back in

Thanks :) I thought so and I hope my betta doesnt start eating them all

I have Mystery Snails and my little man leaves them alone for the most part. Sometimes he gets this little "Wha cha doin?" mentality and follows them around, but other than that, he's fine. Some will eat the babies. I have heard of Bettas nipping adults, but I think that's the ones that are slightly underfed.

Lol, it depends on your bettas personality. Some are super aggressive and some are pretty passive. I'm hoping you have at least a five gallon tank? Try adding the snails before you put the Betta in there because he will establish his new territory.

It is a 5 gallon and the snails have been occupying the tank for some days now. They multiply ridiculously fast

I have heard, lol. I decided against tank mates for my boys, though. My VT is not to aggressive but he has always been in his own tank, and my blind CT is aggressive, even though he's blind... I have a feeling he would kill any tankmates I added if he found them, lol. Most people seems to have luck just waiting, and their bettas usually get used to their tank mates and ignore them after awhile..
