I agree =] I also kinda figured that a male betta with that body size would have a longer/flashier tail, so it's probably a female.

xD was going to hunt down something like that for you but had to go to music lessons.

Ventrals are always what I look at for they are a sure thing, as they get older the beard, females can have one but it's NEVER as prominent as a males and younger males can fake an egg spot but with thin ventrals and an egg spot chances are you have a girl.
