i need help identifying my fish

I know he's not a betta but I've been having a really hard time identifying my fish skitz. He eats gold fish flakes but he doesn't look like a gold fish his fins and tail look different than a regular goldfish. i just wanna kno what kind of fish he is so I can take better care of him I cant upload a pic of him on this post thru my phone, he is on my album tho, please someone help me identify him.

he's a black lyretail molly. their care needs are pretty similar to bettas in terms of water parameters, but they need a larger tank since they do best in groups of three or more.

Really?? He's in a 1 gallon right now cuz that all I have for him, I'm goin to have to look this up!! Lol

they're wonderful fish, the only species they shouldn't be kept with is guppies, since they can and will interbreed, and the enormous fry will kill a female guppy in childbirth.

Lol, I have guppies in another tank, skitz is sadly a 1 gallon tank, read online the min tank is 30 gallons....I don't have $ to put one tiny fish in that tank XD but I am upgrading him to a 2 1/2 tank cuz i put his bowl next to my betta snap and they interact w each other.

How did you get him and buy him if you didn't know what he was?? Or was he given to you?

yeah, it's safe to let male guppies interbreed with female mollies, the babies are called either gollies or muppies, depending on who you ask. they're usually infertile, so there's really no way to produce a sustainable line of gollies, not that plenty of people haven't tried
