Is your betta new?!?! Cause If it is, then I had the same problem too. I bought a HM from PetCo not too long ago and whenever it's feeding time, I would feed him along with me other bettas, but He would just look at it and never touch it. After a while I realized that it just took a little time. It seemed mean, but I just starved him until he was ready to eat cause He would eat the left over food. So I cleaned his tank and eventually he started eating just like all the rest of my bettas. Just give him time.

He eats blood worms no problem though. Is this food good for my betta since it does contain a wheat ingredient?

The only reason they put PLUS on the container is because of the sprinkling of Omega 3 & the other "Natural" color enhancers.

I think it also has the most fillers & binding ingredients out of any pellet food I've seen.

They claim high protein as well, but it's more vegetable based instead of animal.

• corn gluten

Like.... T2D mentioned, give fishy 1-2 weeks. It'll eat EVENTUALLY.

It's not going to kill your betta, but there are better options for pellets out there.

When I had my first betta, I got that exact betta food. He didn't like it, neither did the bettas I got afterwards. The pellets might be too big, or they're just not appealing to him. You can keep trying, he'll probably eat it once he's hungry.

No, you actually want your fish food to have as little wheat as possible. There are better brands of betta food out there are are a lot more nutritious and appealing to your fella.

Huh- how odd! Well, naturally Betta fish are picky, but many refuse to eat certain types of food. I'm glad he's eating it now though- my old betta Pumpkin refused to eat any type of food besides bloodworms! Now my current betta Emperor is open to anything- LOL.

those are very low quality pellets, very little fish protein in them. Those are actually very bad for your fish in the long run and can cause bloating and constipation. You want to find one with very little fillers in them such as wheat, corn, etc. They are carnivorous fish, so feeding them something that is mostly plant based - despite the protein content is actually very bad.

Don't be fooled by this....no bettas refuse bloodworms. It's junk food to them. Would be like eating a big mac every day of your life. Not healthy at all for the betta...they have to get use to eating well-balanced prepared food. Like pellets or flakes.

I would limit how many bloodworms you give them each week.
