New to Bettas

Hey Everyone I need some advice!
I got a betta the other day, he is beautiful. Any who, I bought him a gallon tank and he seems to like it. He has his little hiding spot and a small plant. Now my thing is, I forgot about the PH balance and bought tablets. They say you can add them, but I am unsure if you can do it with the fish in the tank, but I am not taking any chances. I also am seeing bubbles on the side of the tank. Is this normal?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I added mine directly to the tank. My fish were fine. Also do you mean tiny bubbles on the side of the glass? Or do you mean bubbles on the top of the water?

On the side of the glass. Is it from oxygen or from the tap water?

Yeah nothing to be alarmed about just air bubbles! They will go away after a little while.
