While this question won't be relevant to me for a little while yet, I figured it can't hurt to ask it anyway. When planning a habitat for your betta and a few shrimp to (hopefully) live together in, I'm aware that the shrimp need cover to hide from the betta. What I'm wondering is what kind of cover is suitable? What I've got planned is a bunch of driftwood with plants and moss attached to it, arranged so that there's loads of little tunnels and overhangs and things, but when I think about making it both betta-safe and shrimp safe I get a little confused. When describing "cover" for shrimp, does it mean places the betta cannot go? Wouldn't that mean a possibility of the betta getting stuck? Or does it mean just places they can run to and hopefully lose the betta before it catches up to them?
I don't know if it's a stupid question that could be solved with another cup of coffee and some more thinking, but I figured I'd ask anyway just in case I'm really that thick, haha.
