Ripped Dorsel :(

Sooo, Doki Doki somehow ripped his dorsel fin over the weekend. It's a clean rip from edge to 3/4 of the way to his body. He's actually my first boy to do this. Is there anything I can do to help him, or do I just have to wait?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Thanks. :)

Is there anything I can do to help him though? To help speed up the rip's "zipping up" period, so to speak?

I think Stress Coat can help with that

If you have any Indian Almond leaves, those should help too.

My boy just ripped his anal fin halfway up to his body today, too :( Let's hope for a speedy recovery :)

Just be sure to keep the water as clean as possible. If your parameters are a little off it could lead to infection. I assume you know what you're doing though so I'm sure you'll keep him in clean water ^^ Just wanted to drop that down for anyone in a similar situation.

Thanks guys. I treated his water with stress coat. If it doesn't help, I'll see if I can find some of those almond leaves. :)

@Majesticstorm: I hope he heals up quickly too!
