Recommendation for Magnetic Algae Cleaner

Any brands that work well or simple elbow grease is better?

Some I see on Amazon:

Technically, manual cleaning works just fine, but the magnetic scrubbers make it easy to clean the inside of the glass without sticking your hand and/or arm in the tank. I'm personally rather fond of the MagFloats as the magnet seems stronger than what's in the Aqueon. However, neither seem to do well on corners or against the substrate, so you still need to get in there and clean those areas on occasion.

I've used various brandless imported magnetic cleaners from China, and as long as the magnets are strong enough (none of them have failed on me so far) they all work the same.

The point of the Mag Float is that it isn't as likely to trap sand grains and scrape them against the sides of your tank, causing scratches. Non-floating magnetic cleaners can cause scratches this way more easily. The Mag Float CAN still trap sand grains. Just something to keep in mind.

I have and love the mag float, but diatomaes algae (what I had) required a stainless steel scraper that worked amazingly.
