EE!

I decided that I work hard on my plushie projects, and that I deserved to splurge a little bit on a betta that I've really wanted. I was going to get a koi, but my fiance wouldn't let me risk shipping her (even overnight) in the winter, so we compromised, and he picked this guy up for me last night. He doesn't have a name yet.

(This was in the bag when I was acclimating the temperature from cold in the car, to warm inside)

Name suggestions would be helpful!

Very pretty, but the more and more I look at the Petco EEs it's obvious that as beautiful as the multi colors are, they're common for the EEs. Princey is this color (Named because he just loves his castle) and I've seen 3-5 more the same color at different Petcos.

It's kind of funny, Princey and your guy could be brothers :) I'd name him Sherlock since he sees more green and Sherlock's colors were grey and green from what I've seen.

He's not a PetCo boy, we actually got him from "Fish Doctor's" in Ypsilanti, Michigan. I don't know where they get their bettas though. And he does look a lot like your Princey!

They used to have this gorgeous white male that I really wanted, but when Mike went to the store last night, he was gone. They had a smokey black CT, a similarly colored CT and Delta, and this guy.

I'm trying to find a "Mom&Pop" shop where they sell bettas but no luck so far down here. Sounds like they might buy from a local breeder. Other wise they import but mostly the big chain stores do that.

All I remember is that theirs come from Florida. They ship the VT's in crud conditions, the "fancies" (CT, EE, Delta, Round, Black Orchids) in better containers. Our favorite employee up there was venting about it. lol

Squeeeee! I love EEs, they're adorable!

I'm sorry, but any names I can think of are either painfully cliche or a wee bit geeky. He's beautiful though!

Toss them our way, we sometimes do cliche, and we're both gamer techno-geeks, so geekery is welcome here
