At least there are no new holes.
Maybe he flared and the existing hole got a bit bigger?

Mine has no new holes that I can see either, hopefully both our boys heal ok

Well Julio was so clamped when I got home from work today. He barely swam to meet me, and he looked so sad...
Changed his water and when I put him back in, I noticed his tail fin has split 1/4 of the way up :( I'm devistated I don't know what to do

My betta had a rip in one of his fins when I brought him. It started healing on it's own as soon as I put him in his home. It's almost 100% closed up, now. (:

Even if the beta looks fully grown they still get growth spurts in their fins.
I belive that is what is hapening with yours those little holes are where his spinels are geting little bit longer and puting holes in the soft tissue because they are growing. So don't get to upset just means hes getting bigger/wider fins.
Like the others say he will heal quickly on his own. :)
I've seen a lot of holes in sharks fins as he was growing through out his 2 years now hes old and his fins have stopped growing you can tell when they stop as the fins will start to look like they are wilting because the spinals are so relaxed. We get old and wrinkly they get old and floppy lol.
