Container for Betta Water

Hi,

I need a container to hold water in for water changes. I have a ceramic container that is chipped a little on the inside. Is that okay to use? I don't know much about how materials affect water, I just don't want to contaminate it. If not, should I look for a steel one? What other type of material is it okay for the water to be in?

EDIT: You can just ignore this thread. I decided to be safe rather than sorry and went out and bought a stainless steel pot.
