I just order mine off of Amazon - it's used mainly for tooth aches.. may be able to find it in pharmacies, but I've had no luck finding it in stores.

You put in a few drops into a container (make sure to shake it real well before placing the fish in it - shake it in the water as the oil won't mix otherwise and will just cause distress for the fish. I use an old asprin pill bottle with a tight lid and a bit of water to shake it in before pouring it into the container I use for culling).. add in fish (sometimes they freak out at first).. but shortly they will become unconscious and then you add in a couple more drops (shaken w/ water) to put them down.

instead of clove oil, if the fry are still very young, you could use them as conditioning food for another breeding pair, that way they don't go to waste. why kill something and just throw it away when it could go towards sustenance for another fish?

just about any non-herbivorous fish will eat fry. just like other live food, don't feed them everyday unless you're trying to condition a breeder.
