Lol, ah...the joys of owning a tail-biter. Seiya started recently >.<.

Btw, is Ares a tail-biter? Is there any truth to the theory that chronic tail-biting is genetic?

Well genetic or not HUGE fins lead to BIG problems. If I breed HMs I'm aiming towards HMPK and a medium length fin. Not super long. Ares does sometimes tail bite but mostly his fins get snagged on just about anything. He has the best plants and still tears his fins? he would literally do best in a live plant environment xD

I need the 40 gal as a grow out but still am unsure if I can get anything.
If MattsBetta want Ares he can have him :) I am trying to stick to Breeding stock only an so as pretty as Ares is...

Lol!! Most of his fry ended up delta spread... Which is nice.

I'll also have a good number of homeless females. If I still have a tank left over, I'll make a small sorority (10 gallon) until they find homes.

I could probably take a few more females off your hands...since I have a 29g tank now instead of the 10. But now I'm wondering what I'm going to fit all these fish and plants in o.O I don't think the cooler and styrofoam box is big enough
