Today, I did a water change on my bettas fish tank, and cleaned it up a bit, changed the filter etc and when I got home, the tank was about 3/4 empty, theres no holes or anything, I was gone for about 11 hours, What happened? Has anyone had this problem??? I unplugged the filter and took it out, will my fish be okay over night? I'm freaking out!!
It's hard to tell, because I still had some water left over from the water change, and when I saw how low it was, first thing I did was put the water in, and me being me, spilt some, however, between when I posted this, and now, with no light or filter on it, the water went down again, so I took the water out and my betta and put him in a temp home, and filled up his tank, to see if its a leak at all. Do you think anything may have gone wrong with the filter?
He's on a desk in my bedroom, next to my Crested Gecko tank, they are probably about 5-6 inches apart, would that have anything to do with it? they've been like that for well over 2 months. I felt my wall (where the desk meets the wall) and it doesn't feel wet at all, not sure whats going on, there is water on my desk, but it might have been from dropping some water when filling it urgently,
I would lift everything and dry it all off, but i'd put the tank with water back on the desk. Wait a little bit and see if it does it again. Do your fish have a tank they can be in for the time being?
