Of course, I walked into the pet store expecting to buy a nice female betta to start up my sorority, and lo and behold I find the most beautiful pet store crowntail I've ever seen! Now I'm considering turning that 10g I'm getting into a nice community tank.

And guess what folks? As of right now, he's nameless. XD He's very stressed out right now, and in the store he was struggling to breathe, so I hope he'll be okay. He's the most unique crowntail I've ever seen. Might be piebald but I'm no good with the colouring. He's stressed so he's a bit faded, but he has a pink head, white body with fades into this gorgeous bright turquoise, and on his fins he has bright white and red. Really something special! Hoping to snap more shots when he adapts to his new (temporary) home and brightens up!

But here he is! In the pic he's faded, but when I snapped these two shots and saw him looking at me all sassy, I couldn't resist making this a meme... Enjoy!




btw: since he's nameless, can anyone suggest some names for him? So far I've got suggestions like Fibber and Blueboy Blues from my roommate. :P

Is he purple with light blue and dark blue? His colors remind me of something kind of like the old 90's neon tube socks and hair scrunchies mostly the scrunchies.
Could name him scrunchy! xD

Nope, he's not. XD Its just how bad the camera on my iPhone 4 is, coupled with his stress. :( Here's a slightly better pic of his colours, although its still not bright enough argh >.<; his head is a light pink, almost skin colour, with the white and turquoise body. The purple you're seeing is supposed to be the deep red on his fins, which shows up purple on my camera.
Thinking if I ever get the money and resources, I'd definitely want to try to breed this guy. Would be interesting to see what kind of offspring he'd have with this colouring.

oh that's very different now i have to think of something else to call him lol
He looks much more of a long spikey crowntaill here too.
But he kind of now reminds me of that Popsicle they use to sell out of ice cream trucks when I was a kid where it was white blue and red.
But the name rocket keeps poping into my head. Probly from the way the red is despersed out so much on his fins that he could just propel off of it anytime lol.

Yes that sounds right. I think that is what it is called! I never could pronounce when I was a kid. So I never picked it out but I always wanted one to try. lol
