No, it becomes undead.

I thought all my plants were buried pretty well but when I came into my room last night to do a water change my VT Jack Sparrow had rearranged his own tank! He took the twoplants and the pirate statue and piled them all in front of his turtle cave, he's made himself a little fort! I didn't know Bettas were that strong, maybe I should rename him Hercules LOL!

If they were in with your betta, they could probably be considered "snacks"

They are silly fish, for sure! They scare me to death with their need to "nap" on decor, plants, the bottom of the tank! If any other fish did that, that means you have a dead fish. My pineapple HM has been laying on the bottom of the tank for 2 weeks, only rising to get air once in a while. I was building her little fish coffin in my head, when suddenly, she's chasing the other 8 girls around and disrupting what I have painstakingly built as a peaceful betta sorority! I guess she was feeling bullied and it's payback time!!! I am tired of having to place FISH in "timeout" tanks! I've put my bettas in timeout more than my son (0 times) or the child I babysit (also 0 times). (B/c I'm watching, I'm going to let her have her revenge a little bit).
And Miss I-caught-my-head-in-a-bead is just fine. She's looking for other things to get her head stuck in.

My boy tried to eat the AQ silicone that I used to plug up his terra cotta pot. When I did my water change today and felt the silicone, it was a bit bumpy. Last time I felt it, the silicone was SMOOTH. :O

oh and my Ct, Splashcasso likes to wedge himself between the thermometer and the side of the tank, he can get out on his own but it takes him a few minutes.

Oh it makes me nuts when they "have" to wedge themselves b/w the thermometer and glass! I suppose "experts" would say they're infected w/ a parasite, but to me it's something they just have to do. Goes the same with any part of a filter.

LOL. I purposely have those sticky thermometers on the outside of my tanks for 24/7 purposes, and another submersible one for spot-checks. FOR THAT REASON.
