Happy (belated) Gotcha Day Lude!!

http://www.bettafish.com/showthread....endorff&page=2 This is my first thread on Ludendorff. I apparantly bought him January 31st 2012. So here's to my boy! We overcame some pretty scary episodes! Firstly, the day I bought him was a winter storm- I remember the buses going off the roads leaving me and hundreds of others stranded at the university. Needing to get him home, I had to walk. I tried stuffing him into my coat and walked/ran as fast as I could home. He was lethargic and had fin melt for a month or so before he picked up. Now he's a thriving old man. Though the colors never came back in his tail (giving him a more salamander look) I love him and his grumpy face.

Happy First Gotcha Day Ludendorff!

Hey there,

I am glad that Ludendorff is doing so well despite his rough start, sounds like the winter storm was pretty dramatic, it is great his fins finally recovered too

Thanks!!
That might have been one of the worst storms last year- It did not start until late in the afternoon.. Or more like 12 maybe but it did not get bad until 2 ish. If I had known I would not have trekked to the mall (bc my mode of transportation is bus). But then Ludendorff would not have been here.

Happy bday lude, I consider it bdays still. lol When they get rescued from pet stores is the day they truly get to live since its the day they actually get someone to care for them.
You have a great idea going, putting plant pots in the tank and filling them with aquarium plants. xD I should try that I usually don't like using plants cause they die on me/up root. I'll probably have more luck if I try to pot them lol.

haha thanks!
I used gotcha days on my dog and bunnies because then I celebrated their approximate birthdays as well (I got my dog Aug 1, 97 and he was 8 weeks old so I subtracted that and celebrated his bday in June lol) and (my bunny was born "sometime" in September I was told and I bought her in January 07 so I celebrated both days)..
With my cat its harder bc we don't even know how old he is, same with the fish so I celebrate G-days just to keep my traditional 2 celebrations (for bunny at least. Favoritism or what?!)

I browsed through those pics and haha I really liked the look of potting the fake plants. That was last year. Since the 5g Ludendorff and Bowser have real plants. The last time I potted live plants was my hygrophilia.. Which melted.
