I picked this guy up from petsmart yesterday. He was labeled as a dragonscale crowntail. I also think he is marbled. Under a light he looks lime green! His head is white with flecks of blue/green. The pictures don't do him justice. Also what should I name him? Please help! And he is going to be in a 46 gallon community tank- there is no problems so far. No fin nipping and he is mostly keeping to himself right now.
I don't think he is a combtail as his branching is pretty long, the pictures just don't show it well. So since he is a marble, will he change?
And Kronos is a good name, but I don't want him to be a Titan or he has to be lonely in a ten gallon. So maybe ill do another name.
Right now I'm actually deciding to go with some war name, seeing as I'm reading the Iliad. What would y'all do? Iliad, Achilles, Hector, Patroclus, Paris, Ajax, Nestor or any other names from Iliad would be greatly appreciated.i
It's funny how petsmart always mislabeles fish. I didn't get him for that though! I happened to see him looking so depressed in his little cup. There was only 2 inches of water left! I really wanted a marble too, as I saw some pictures of them here. I have never seen such a beautiful betta here before, and I had to have him. I hope he changes a lot, but still keeps some of his original color. The ends of some of his rays are red, maybe that will add in! xD
I also recently picked up a dragonscale crowntail from Petsmart who im pretty sure isnt a dragonscale. He faintly shines in the sun but definitely nowhere near as much of a dragonscale as all the others i saw at the store. He's also more likely more of a marbled/grizzled type. But I just adored his colors Thats still pretty unique colors to find on a crowntail, congrats on finding him!
Thanks! And wow, Krahyolviing is gorgeous! His colors are great also!
