new 5 and planting the 10

This is my new 5 gallon that will be geting red cherry shrimp and the baby betta after it cycles all the plants are purchased from yyankeeyankeefann who lives a couple towns away the bottom is the 10 gal community tank I might move some plants around but I want the 5 gallon to be heavly planted because I want the shrimp to do well this is also my first truly planted tank

have it already just dont want it to go in to soon its a baby so I dont think it will take the spike its brand new I filled half with established tank water put a big pinch of food befor I got the plants now it has all kinds of plants and 4 large apple snails im hoping it will be ready when its time for the shrimp
