Why is my mail crowntail turning white?

OK - this is just getting weird.

I've been off of work all week this week and I just came in (Friday morning) to find that my fish is now turning blue again. The white on his body is completely back to the dark blue color and his dorsal fin is still white but it getting blue streaks back in it.

He has also been seriously over-fed while I've been gone and is extremely bloated again.

Any ideas as to what is really going on with his coloring? If I didn't know better, I'd think that someone is switching fish on me when I'm not looking!
