Good Betta Pellet Brands?

I'm looking to switch out my betta's pellet food with something a little more nutritious. I've been feeding him ZooMed pellets, but after doing some reading I'm learning that this probably isn't our best option.
What should I be looking for on ingredient labels?

Also, I do supplement his diet with freeze-dried bloodworms as treats- and I mean to get frozen foods as well for more variation.

I'm doing homework right now trying to figure out what to go with myself. I used to have my Betta on flakes, but learned today that the flakes don't seem to hold nutrition as nicely as the pellets.

Although I haven't found just the right pellet formula yet, I have ruled out Omega One do to the following review from Amazon:

I heard from a few people here that hey liked OmegaOne, but I saw a few negative reviews on the PetsMart website.

Blah! Tough work!

The pellets I'm using now aren't so terrible. They float well, and I've never had issues with fish not eating them- I just want something with a little more quality and nutrition.

One of the things I'm going to try, as soon as I figure out what brands are best (it's really tough to figure that out!) is to buy a couple different brands and change it up every week or so.

I do the same with my dogs whenever I buy a new bag. Usually I rotate within the same brand (Wellness) but rotating food helps meet all dietary needs and keeps them interested.

I HIGHLY recommend New Life Spectrum pellets. :) Nutritious, and my boy can't get enough of them.

That makes two votes for NLS!

I'd like to be able to get him frozen/live food- but I don't have the capacity for such luxuries in a college dorm room haha.
Also I don't have my car here, so it's hard to come by transportation to pet stores. :P
