Question My 1st Pet .. :/

Hi im 24 and its sad that this is my first pet but i already love the little guy moving along lol.

.:Details:.

Blue Crowntail Betta Male
.3 Gallon Aqua Culture Betta Cube

I asked the sales person at Walmart if this was all that i need and they said yea so silly me took him home then realized he wouldnt eat for 2 days.

He doesnt like Tetrabetta pellets but eats blood worms and betta bites.

Not to mention i live in new England and his tank was freezing did know he was a tropical fish

.: :.
Now that i have been educated i will be purchasing a 2 gallon hawkeye a heater and a fresh water master kit unfortunately they have to be delivered

Thank you guys for having this site and the information easily accessible for people like me

Hi! And welcome to the forums! This site really is a great place for betta lovers! I myself am new to betta keeping as well! Mine is a male veil tail (shown in my avatar pic) named Mojo, after the anagram for Jim Morrison (Mr Mojo Risin). Enjoy the site! I'm sure you will learn lots more about these fun little friends!

Welcome, one thing i learn about walmart associates....they're not the best people to ask about fishes. In fact, it's probably better if you ask a person browsing through the fish isle. One time, I had a guy ask me about his aquarium as i was getting stuff for my goldfish, i probably gave him a 20 minute lecture about everything, lol.

Betta's are addicting, you better be careful, once you have one you keep wanting more. xD

Hi and welcome to the forum. I'm Bryana AKA Bryanacute. I strongly agree as Wal-Mart associates are defiantly not the best to ask. Also, I noticed that you said he doesn't have a heater or filter. Filters aren't always needed, but A heater is always recommended.
