1/2 Gal. Tank: Too small?

I'm looking to get another Betta but I am unsure if the small bowl I have is too small for him. It's a .5 gal bowl so yes it's very small. Anyone have any advice on whether or not it would work? Thanks :)

My personal opinion is at least 2.5 gallons or larger for a single betta.

It probably shouldn't be anything more than a temporary holding for him.

Betta's should have a heater, and be 2.5 Gallon tank as a minimum.

it wouldnt the smallest should be 2 gal. min. . and you would need to add the decor. it would not have any room to swim.

When buying decorations; be careful and make sure they're silk plants that you purchase. Plastic ones can easily tear fins and cause problems.

-2.5 Gallon+ aquarium
-Water conditioner
-Water testing kit (Need to keep a special eye on Ammonia, Nitrate and Nitrite.)
-Silk plant(s)
-Gravel
-A hide
-Turkey Baster/siphon
-Betta pellets New Life Formula is highly recommended.

Those will probably give you the optimal conditions for your newest friend.

Yes, way too small. We do have members that use gallon or 1.5 gallon. Most of us suggest 2.5 as a bare minimum. Anything smaller you can't cycle and can pose heating issues.
Maybe more than that, think of it this way, would you rather live out your life in an apartment or a jail cell?

I prefer the apartment over the jail cell lol. my other betta has a 2.6 gallon tank and he loves it. I was just worried about space which was why I was seeing if I could go any smaller.
