This is Kitty Foreman, I was looking for a girl like this to start making a sorority a few months ago as well as to breed to my Red Foreman, RIP. My cousin is actually the one to find her! Walmart had gotten a new shipment of bettas yesterday abd she just so happened to be going to buy new fish as well as fish food. She had a new 1 gallon and wanted a girl to put in it. Lo and behold she found a set of sisters in the same cup, likely by mistake... She took them to the cashier to buy them and the lady there said that since they sell them by the cup as opposed to by the fish, she would only charge for one fish, thus giving my cousin the other. Well, She couldn't put 2 girls in the same bowl and she knew that I had just renovated the 29 gallon inot a NPT (no plants yet need $$$). So I got her. The sister is called Rosalitta.
I would love to show any babies she has. I wanted a girl like her to breed with Red( see avatar). I would be willing to buy a male to go with her, and I DO see the hunchback she has...
I can't see her too well, and she isn't flaring, but you would definitely want a male that would be an HM or OHM type CT. Also one with a wider dorsal. Her rays look a little crooked. And her topline is bumpy on top of the hunchback you already see.
I honestly wouldn't breed her because of that hunchback though. It's pretty severe. And you would never know what color babies you would have and if they would even be show able seeing as she is from Walmart and you can't determine her genetics.
She wouldn't be too bad as a pet breeder, but even then you would probably have to cull quite a few, I can imagine there would be a lot with spinal deformities
I figured that I would have to cull a bunch... Can you tell what her tail type is? When flared, she looks like her tail is almost heart shaped but the top lobe is larger than the bottom and the crease is not very pronounced. She also has small extensions on her rays at the ends of each fin. reading this back, it is somewhat confusing...
