Question 2Gallon Tank + Mates?

So right now he is in there king of the castle and i have to wait 2 weeks for BB? i believe.

i baffled his filter with a piece of fish net.

I just put a heater in and he is fascinated with it lol so here are my thoughts/question/confusion:

in a 2 gallon i could possible have one or two snails? Yes or No

Oh and he is a blue crown tail.

You could do live, anubias is great. Plus, the leaves are nice if they want to rest on them. Maybe two? and a moss ball!

moss balls are pretty cool and easy to care for, plus betta's LOVE them. Mine will roll his and rub on it and lay on it.

If you have a full planted 2 gallon with fast growing plants you can definitely keep snails or shrimps with your fish.

but a 2 gallon non planted or sparsely planted tank... I wouldn't put anything extra...

a tank typically takes 3 or 4 weeks to cycle. only way to know is to test the water....

I have a heavily heavily planted 1 gallon tank with one betta, 1 nerite and a bazillion pond snails.

Additionally sometimes you will hear that it is impossible to cycle a 2 gallon tank.... whoever said this in the first place probably never tried to do it and worked on theories alone. there are many members on BF who have successfully cycled their sub-5 gallon tanks and their cycles are holding steady (lebronthebetta is one of them I believe :) )
