Is this fungus or a missing scale?

Is this fungus or a missing scale? How to treat it?

Hey there,

It is a little hard to tell from the photo, if it is fungus it will appear as either long stringy white stuff growing from the wound or short and fuzzy white substance, it sort of looks like cotton wool.

try and get an aerial/under view and see if the dot is actually sunk in to the scales, if it is, it's probably a missing scale. The only thing you can do for that is to make sure the water conditions are perfect and add in some stress coat. She'll regrow the scale.
