Oh wait. I think I am confusing myself. I think it is levisamole that treats camallanus and not metro. Too many different medications for different parasites. It's confusing.

I think as long as it has levisamole in the ingredients you should be right.

I usually use a Pig and Poultry wormer on my fish because we used to not be able to get any good parasite medications in. Maybe PM someone from America who may be able to point you in the right direction as I am unfamiliar with what is sold there.

Oh, to answer the other question, the worms in the picture are not alive, but there was a longer one (about an inch) that was swimming around and my sister tried to catch it with the net before it disappeared.

What are the chances the other fish got infected? Should I do a water change? Please tell me what to do, all the fish are in little cups.

It's hard to say since I don't know what kind of parasite they are. I would treat all fish involved though and do a 100% change on the tank, gravel and filter.

Pretty sure it was tapeworms, we bought some parasite tablet things that look like alka seltzers. Guess our cycle is gonna wreck... oh well, I'll just buy another bottle of safestart I guess. >.>


Also, I think the StressCoat+ actually started to kill the worms off earlier... I added a dose to my sisters aquarium while she was at drama class, and then we discovered this a few hours later. All the worms except one were dead when they came out.

Tapeworms are white. The segment part is correct but I have only ever seen white tapeworms. :(

I would treat the whole tank.. internal parasites are very contagious. Sorry :(

Best way to do this is actually to feed.. because 3-4 weeks is needed or relapse is high and to do a bath for this long is stressful at best.. For confirmed worms I would do something w/levamisole.
