FLUVAL SPEC baffle

Hi; i have Fluval Spec 5 for my betta Voldemort; the current, as many owners of Spec know, is quite strong, even with the lower setting on the pump.
I put a simple piece of black pantyhose on the output, and secured it with
a black plumbing washer. It is hardly visible, and easy to clean

be careful with the panty hose if it contains latex or other stuff besides polyester, you may need to change it every so often.

Also, a piece of the filter sponge works just as well!

I just stuck a small piece of filter floss in the output to "clog" slow down the pressure. Seems to be working great. My betta is swimming all over my Spec 3.

Good idea for a baffle. I have a heater in my pump chamber and wasn't happy with the water level in there, so I cut a small hole in the outflow line. That slowed the flow down, but not enough. I ended up using the pre-filter sponge from a Fluval edge as a baffle.
