Need help ASAP! Betta shock!

First, I apologize for any spelling/grammar mistakes, I am in a rush. I just bought a new betta, who was perfectly healthy. I was floating his bag in his tank, then slit it to acclimate. While I was eating dinner he swam out, now he is lethargic and motionless. I did condition the water.


Housing
What size is your tank?3/4 gallon
What temperature is your tank?78
Does your tank have a filter?n
Does your tank have an air stone or other type of aeration?n
Is your tank heated?y
What tank mates does your betta fish live with?none

Food
What type of food do you feed your betta fish?NLS, but none so far.
How often do you feed your betta fish?twice a day

Maintenance
How often do you perform a water change?Havent so far (just got him)
What percentage of the water do you change when you perform a water change?100
What type of additives do you add to the water when you perform a water change?water conditioner

Water Parameters:
Have you tested your water? If so, what are the following parameters?haven't

Hardness:

Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed?Hasn't
How has your betta fish's behavior changed?lethargig, not moving
When did you start noticing the symptoms?now

Does your fish have any history of being ill?not that I know
How old is your fish (approximately)?at least 6 months?

I don't think you really acclimated him correctly. You should have let him float for around 20 minutes, then added a little bit of tank water, then let him sit 10 minutes, added more tank water, and repeat for about an hour. Just leave him in a dark, quite room and give him some time and see what happens.

Eemais, I know. He had been in that filthy bag water for longer then I was comfortable with so I rushed it. Anyone else?

You shocked him. There's nothing you can do but wait. I would put a towel over his tank and make it dark. You'll know in 3 days if he'll make it.
