Hi All!

I've been reading up a bit here, and thought it was time I introduced myself. I've been keeping fish for close to 20 years. I guess I'd say I'm experienced but not an expert , and am on a couple of other fish forums.

Currently I have a 29g SA planted community (Angels, Bolivians, von Rios, otos, cories), a 10g planted Tang tank (caudopunks and calvus), and an 8g Nuvo Nano (cherry shrimp and breeder box with a Betta).

A good friend and fellow aqua-nerd got me looking at Bettas again, and I must say the plakats and more recent wild and wild crosses are fascinating. A few weeks ago, we were shopping and I found a Betta I couldn't resist. Or he found me. Even in his cup, he was active and practically in my face. Anyway, he is temporarily living in a Marina breeder box running off the shrimp tank.

I have a new 10g which I am dividing into 3 or 4 using the DIY plastic screen and binder method, filters will be here next week and am planning on planting it. I'm looking forward to the experience. Hopefully I can add to the conversations, and I won't make you all crazy with questions.

Thank you all for the welcome! @Romad, yes, that's my new betta . He is responsible for the progressing new tank build and interest in the developments in Betta breeding. You know how it is, lol. He came from Petco, so I don't know anything about his heritage (he's probably a beautiful mix of what-have-you) At least that particular store actually treats their fish well. Tons of personality, eats from my hand. (sorry about the waterspots-I'd just done a water change, and he decided to pose )
