Moving with a Betta

I have reason to believe that I will be moving in July. (This is not definite, but I wanted to be prepared just in case.)

It is a trip that takes about 13 hours by car. How would I be able to transport my betta in the car? I figured I would pack a small cooler with towels and packing peanuts, and but my betta in a cup with holes in the lid. And potentially a heating pack. But that probably won't be necessary since it will be summertime.

Any ideas on how I can reduce my boy's stress during a move?
