Finicky eater

I'm currently tending a finicky eater. Unlike my Ranmaru, Ikiryo the cellophane DT is flat out ignoring food whenever I feed him.

I've heard garlic can encourage appetite by making food more appetizing. I was wondering how to you gys usually prepare their food When using garlic? I have fresh and powdered.

I soak my picky betta's (I have a baby & a spoiled adult veiltail) food in the juice from minced garlic for a few minutes before giving them to him. I have to be careful because they don't really float well after a garlic soak & apparently my boy is too good to scrounge for food at the bottom of his tank...so he literally gets hand fed.

You could also try some frozen blood worms. No betta can resist a bloodworm. Feed about 2-3 to him.

This little guy is even turning his nose up to blood worms. Finally got him to eat (a little) after soaking the food in garlic juice.

A little is a start, so I am not complaining.
