Copernicus is trying to kill me

So....

I can into my room after dinner and like always all my fish were there looking at me thinking they got food. EVERYONE BUT....who? Copernicus. Yes, his tank was still, a bit unusual since Cappy is a bundle of too hyper for his own good and is always zooming about or surprising me by darting out from behind his plants. So I do the first thing I do when I can't find him. I open his lid. Normally when I do that he comes darting out from whatever place he is hiding and waits for food but there was nothing. No Cappy waiting for food. So I lifted up his little hideout to see if he was in there, nothing....I panic now. My little baby is missing and i am feeling close to screaming. I'm ripping the plants out of his tank, digging in the gravel, calling his name, two seconds from screaming at him and what do i notice over in the filter? I see a flash of blue, wtf? i unplug the filter and gave down at it seeing a little face appear from behind the cartridge with a sort of awkward shifty eyed look. SOMEHOW he had managed to throw himself inside the filter and couldn't get out. I turned the filter on it's side and he swam out slowly clearly ashamed he had done something so foolish to get himself stuck. I have now covered the top so we can't repeat this but I think Cappy has humiliated himself badly. He's fine, not a scratch on him other than his ego. Once I fixed the filter with a top he can't get through I plugged it back in and put it back in his tank. He swam right back up to it and flared at it then swam away. Oh Cappy you little stink you almost gave me a heart attack.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA! I'm sorry, but your narration is amazing! He's sure not gonna do that again! I'm glad he's fine without a scratch.

xD I almost died but the look on his face was so worth it. He was so ashamed of getting stuck. I have never seen a fish hide like that. Even now when I look at him and chuckle he goes behind his plants and turns his back to me like "Okay I get it, not funny anymore." Awww he is such a baby, I love him, what a trouble maker, made a good day for me, less good day for Cappy.
