All he does is attack and flare at his reflection!

So I put Steve into a new heated 2.5 gal with a few plants to upgrade him from his 1.5 gallon bowl. The heater is 8W rated for 1.5 gallons, but does the job in the 2.5. However, all he does now is flare and dart back and forth at his reflection! He never did this in his old tank! Suggestions?

is his tank significantly brighter than the room he's in? if so, he's seeing his reflection in the glass all the time (like you would looking out the window at night) you may need to get a little more light going in the room to even it out.

All of my bettas did this when I brought them home and put them in their new homes. He'll eventually chill out. I'd say give him a couple days to recoup. Maybe decrease his lighting schedule. If the room is bright .. maybe turn off his light and just let the room light go in (at night mainly) and he'll get to look out.

Hope this helps.
