Exclamation Tank with light on bottom

I recently moved my betta to a 6 gallon circular tank. His recent tank was a 1.5 gallon tank with no decorations just a few plants. I put a medium size driftwood/cave thing in his new tank and he seems to always be hiding in there. the only time he comes out is when he sees me and he will swim around for a bit. The tank was made for jelly fish and it has a bright adjustable light on the bottom corner. I am concerned that he is hiding from the light. It might not even be the light that bothers him. Maybe he just likes the new hiding spot now, but I just miss seeing him swim all day long. Any suggestions? I will post a picture to give you guys an idea of what his tank is like.

He will probably be fine and is just getting used to his tank. I love that tank! Where did you get it?

I agree I think he is getting used to his new tank and is happy that he has a little hiding spot now, I just like to get everyones thoughts. I got this tank from a friend and he got it from http://www.jellyfishart.com/ It is a beautiful tank..the dimensions on the tank are great and it is actually a lot wider than it looks and very deep. To hide the cords from the heater and the filter I put a black background on the back of the tank which makes a big difference in the appearance.

Could you cover the light with something and then see if he comes out of hiding more? That is a pretty tank.
