what to do with a 10g

Hi, I'm going to be getting a second hand 10 gallon tank soon. I think I want to set it up with a sorority of 5 and a few really hardy plants, but I'm not sure about how to scape. Can some of you who have 10 gallons (planted or not) post some pics? Just so I can get an idea of they ways I could decorate . Also please list stock. Thanks!

Heres mine threw its life time. 2 pics are froma divided 20 gallon, so they are kinda ten gallon.... The first is my current ten gallon.... :P

For a sorority, most keepers would recommend six females. Plant it heavily until it looks like a jungle, then add a few more plants. Include logs, cups and other places to hide.

-Misters Mom- I really like the pick of your first tank. I think its simular to how I'd like to keep plants. With a few hardy ones and some silk to fill in what kind of light do you have? Is it just bulbs that fit in the stock hood?

Hallyx- I'd love to put six in a ten . I only chose 5 because I've read between 4 and 6 and I figured that would be a lower bioload but if six would be better that would be awsome. Should I stock anything in there for tank health like snails, shrimp, or whatnot? Or just keep the girls alone.

Actually more fish is even better---spreads the aggression. Ten-female sororities in a 20g are common. Six is just the most that most keepers recommend for a 10g without overstocking. This doesn't leave room for snails. Maybe a few shrimp with their low bioload.

I like the tanks with just bettas I think. Unless a shrimp would help the health of a tank. If they'd just be there for looks I'll keep females by themselves. A 20 would be really fun I just don't have the space. My dream set up would be two 5.5 divided male tanks on either side of a 10gallon sorority. Doing a wall that had a 10, 20, and 10 would be spectacular but I think too much for me.

Shrimp don't do much. I just mentioned them because I thought you wanted something else in there.

Good point. I imagine there would be quite a bit if frustration if all the boys could see the girls and the girls see the boys, but could never say "hi" lol. Maybe I'll do it but place some black background on the sides between tanks.
