so, went out today with a friend. just to hang out on Valentine's Day, really, but he insisted on getting me something. xD so, i ended up coming home with World of Warcraft, and a new betta!
i was honestly scared, because the last betta i got from PetSmart died that night. but, the bettas were beautiful. no one really looked sick. they were clamped and inactive, but that's to be expected. it was a cold day today. and, they did perk up when i picked up their cups.
they had the usual dark red with blue shine, just CTs and VTs, really. a mislabled "Dragonscale Crowntail", who was just a metallic CT. almost got a lovely little dark VT, but then i spotted some purple lidded cups closer to the door. i'd found the females. : D
they just had three gals, and one was dead. i didn't even look at the second one, because i fell hard for a light-colored gal. she'd never have been bought. almost colorless, with gold eyes. clamped, but she kept swimming around her cup. cute as heck, she was, so i picked her up.
we decided to go back to Best Buy to get the game first, then got her. i'm a little worried because of my past experience, and the fact that she's still clamped and breathing a little heavy. but, she's in clean water with some of my Java Moss. a temporary tank for the night so i can find my spare tank while cleaning up my room for the guests we'll have.
but, here's her picture. meet Camaro, aka Cammy! she's swimming around her tank a little, but generally stays in one spot, but she's colored up a bit. she's yellow with blue shine to her fins. :3
