Sponge filters for 5 gallons

Which of these (if any) have enough surface area for enough bacteria to support a 5 gallon single betta tank?

And if they are big enough, which ones are good quality?

from your OP I would say go with either of the bottom two of your list. They are the only ones that even say they can support a 5 gallon

The Mini Lustar 7 gal is what I use in my 4g barebottom tanks with only Anubias. One Betta. Works fine. Will take an airstone which is a plus. If you have substrate and a few faster-growing plants, it'sall you should need.

Here's a slightly bigger version made for a 10g.

I do have gravel, but I don't have any plants...Would it still be enough for a 5 gallon? I mean it does say 7 gallons...

Yeah, fff, it'll be fine. Plants are always a plus, but not mandatory.

It's not so much the actual water volume, it's how much ammonia production is going on. One Betta is not much.

Trim the lift tube about 1/2inch below the waterline.
