I know being patient sucks but it is so incredibly important, especially with sororities. You can run the risk of losing all of your girls if your tank is improperly set up, you do not QT/acclimate correctly or introduce the girls correctly, blah blah.
I've been fishless cycling my sorority tank for over a month, now, and I'm adding live plants along with the filter before I add the girls. My current two have been in QT for over a month - I had three, but one passed away from Dropsy.
I am getting four more girls and live plants and will QT them all for at least two weeks before introducing them to the tank, and I have an over-abundance of silk plants for the tank, at least until the live plants grow in.
I have many medications on hand now, will be getting IAL and have VitaChem as a regular additive to the tank to support healthy immune systems, and I've got regular water change schedules already decided on, all QT tanks ready for the new girls to arrive, etc, etc......
And I had almost none of that for my boys in their own individual tanks. Sororities are so delicate. One sick girl can wipe out an entire tank, whereas males in separate tanks are not a risk to each other.
