Hi everyone I'm in the process on. my second time spawn with a cellophane male half moon and he's eating the eggs again. Any suggestions as of what to do? Or should I try again with him in a couple of more months. I really would like to spawn him.

Artificially hatch the eggs if he is a consistent egg eater.

If his genetics are important to you and you have time, give him 1-2 months rest in a bare tank to later be spwned in a planted tank.

But if you're in a hurry, artificially hatch the eggs. Either by taking both parents out once spawning is done or remove the eggs into a clean bowl.

You can also try with a different female. Some boys are just bad Dads, plain and simple and artificial hatch is the only way to go. But I had one male that I absolutely loved and long story short it was the female that was the dud and once I got a totally different genetic female, it was a successful spawn. Tried him again with the original female (which I really wanted to cross him with) and he ate the eggs every time. But regardless, I would take indjo suggestion first. It may clear up the problem.
