DoI look ill?

Hi I am Nomnom This is how I arrived from the petshop (Check pic) My owner has read that while growing the tips of my fins will be white, but he has also read that white tips are the beginning signs of fin rot? any clues?

Housing
What size is your tank? - 05 gallon
What temperature is your tank? - 79
Does your tank have a filter? - Yes
Does your tank have an air stone or other type of aeration? - No
Is your tank heated? - Yes
What tank mates does your betta fish live with? - None

Food
What type of food do you feed your betta fish? - Micro Wafers(petshop supplied)
How often do you feed your betta fish? - twice a day

Maintenance

How often do you perform a water change?
What percentage of the water do you change when you perform a water change?
What type of additives do you add to the water when you perform a water change?

Water Parameters:
Have you tested your water? If so, what are the following parameters?

Ammonia:
Nitrite:
Nitrate:
pH:
Hardness:
Alkalinity:

Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed?
How has your betta fish's behavior changed?
When did you start noticing the symptoms?
Have you started treating your fish? If so, how?
Does your fish have any history of being ill?
How old is your fish (approximately)?

Your profile pic is very small but it looks to be simply the color of your fish. Kind of like mine (at left) white rimmed fins. Pretty!

Is your tank 5 gallons or a half gallon? How long has the filter been running? What water conditioner do you use?

oh, and black tips are usually the start of fin rot but also could be the coloring.

I can't see any photos and I know of no betta food in the form of wafers..

Can you please fill out the rest of the guide you left blank.

Sorry, Avatar added. Tank cycled 4 weeks with filter running before I added her, tips are white, Tank is 5 gallon, Water treated with Nutrafin cycle and Aqua plus. Food was recomended by the shop - Hikari Tropical,micro wafers (tiny pellets) I feed 3 of them a day I have a lot to learn but in the 3 days I have had her home I have learnt she doesn't like the TV on at night I have to cover the side of her tank lol

sounds like you are doing everything right, that photo is bigger so you can see that is his natural coloring. It looks to be a male, the ventrals are really long.

have just done a 10% water change today..first one since adding him 3 days ago...Thanx everyone and hes started blowwing bubbles too. Think I need to swap out the plastic plants for live ones next
