I did for 2 min and he swam like 3 inch then went down the up then down back and the up then I turned lights back on

I know it seems weird, but keeping the lights off really will help keep the stress down. I promise. I only say this out of experience.

Is he still jittering around? Mine jittered for about ten minutes, then went back to normal. I just stood and watched horrified.

I pretty much did the exact same thing as you. I was doing a water change and forgot to add conditioner. I freaked and added it with the fish in, obviously not thinking to take the fish out. By then it was too late so all I could do was stand in the dark and watch in horror. He was fine before I went to bed that night, though.

No now he's swimming perfectly fine the light made him jump up and start swimming fine
