I have a red male CT betta who jumped out of his tank back on 12/12/12
and by the time I found him, I thought he was dead he was so black. But I threw him back into his bowl quickly and he came back to life.
He did ok then a week after that he started not eating and acting sluggish. All of his tassels on fins were gone, he had mild fin rot. He somehow made it through that period with me treating him with aq salt and bacteria drops.
Now, he is still not healing. His tassels on his fins are not regrowing-its been nearly 3 months. He is dull instead of the bright red and iridescent colors he had. I bought him a week before I got my other betta, and the size difference is astounding. He is so tiny, even though he is 6 months old. He is less than an inch big...I'd say more like 1/2 an inch!
I am at a loss how to help him. He is having issues swimming because his fins are nearly stumps (there is no fin rot). Any suggestions? Thanks!
