New Betta Owner Need Help asap

I got my betta maybe a week ago, he is a veiltail, he is in a Evolve 4 gallon tank and I will have pics of him, he is still mildly active, he has rarely eaten anything since i got him, I have tried Hikori betta bio gold, I also have tried crushing them up he just looks at the food never eats it, So I have also tried Tropical fish flakes I have seen him eat one single flake all week... I have done 2 25% water changes since I got him can anyone help me out im not sure if he is sick or just adjusting to his new home.

Well, he may just be adjusting, but it looks like he's either got cloud eye or he's going blind in his right eye. Was he like that when you bought him?

No that is something I just noticed just in the past 24 hours

Then he's sick. It looks like cloud eye, so you should go and get some medicine such as melafix. Find something that treats cloud eye. You can also add aquarium salt and API stress coat to the tank to speed up the healing process.

Okay thanks for the info I will stop by my local fish stores and pick up what I need, Thanks again will post pics when he is better. Do you suggest doing a 100% water change?

Yes and its probably best to do a water change daily. A tank that small, it's easy to do. Also, how long has the tank been set up and did you cycle it?

Also, you can find aquarium salt and API stress coat at a Walmart. I just took an hour to walk to mine and they had the salt and stress coat for $2 each. It's cheap and easy to come by. If anything, the melafix would cost the most, being around $3-$5. Hope this helps!

The tank has only been setup a week, I did not cycle it, I work more than 50 hours a week so its hard for me to find time to change his water, but I will focus on getting the water changed once a day. Thanks again

Your welcome. It should only take about 15 minutes for a tank that small. I understand trying to find time. If you have to, try every other day or something that will work to your schedule. Best of luck!

Considering I don't have as much time for maintaince should i invest in a larger tank if so how big, and Ill house him in the small one untill the larger one is cycled 10 gallons or 20? Sorry to keep asking so many questions this is the first fish i have had since i was 6... I just want to make sure i'm doing my best to take care of him
