Placo, you mean plecos? Like plecostomus? And did you say you keep both a male and female betta in the 10g as well or did I read that wrong?

Okay well you're gonna run into problems.

First off, a male and female betta should not be housed together unless during breeding in which the female is removed afterwards anyway.

One pleco alone produces a lot of waste and depending on the kind of pleco they need 55gallons just to start. So having two of them in just a 10gallon is quite a bit too much ammonia for your filter to likely handle. The smallest pleco (that I know of) is a bristlenose pleco and they still output a lot of waste. For example, I have one and a small breed goldfish in a 20gallon long tank with two large filters on it and I will still register .25ammonia on my test after a week. They're messy.

You have a couple of choices here. The best and cheapest is to take the plecos back to the store and either get another tank for the betta or bring either the male or female back. There's no way you can have those fish all together in just a 10gallon. I'd go ahead and pick up a testing kit while you're there unless you live close to a petstore that doesn't mind testing your water for free.

I'm sorry to hear that :<

It sounds like it was a water quality issue so hopefully your other betta makes it through. I would still rehome both plecos, they're much too big to be in a 10g.

How long has your tank been set up?

What kind of pleco do you have? Common pleco get over a foot in length and cannot be kept in 10g..
